5. Next place your square spacer tube (V3 mfg supplied) on the bayonet, to get proper alignment to the bore (see
V3 mfg instructions). You may also use a properly sized wooden dowel for alignment. The bayonet must be
positioned 1/8”-1/4” below the bore diameter, to ensure bullet clearance.
Also, make sure the bayonet is parallel to the bullet’s path.
6. While keeping the bayonet in correct location, tighten the tension handle to where it resists turning with
medium to heavy hand pressure. DO NOT use hand tools (pliers, wrench, etc.) to tighten handle.
7. Next, release tension on the QD bracket to remove the assembly from your firearm. Remove spacers from the
Bayonet.
8. Your unit is now ready for use.
NOTE: You must confirm your firearm is unloaded (mag removed, chamber empty, bolt open/removed), prior to starting
the mounting/unmounting process, or making any adjustments.
In the field:
1. Store/transport your assembled unit so that it cannot be damaged or moved from position.
2. Mount the assembly to your Firearm, noting that the QD bracket lever is tight. If necessary, re-tension using a
2.5mm allen.
3. Using the V3 mfg supplied square spacer tube, or a wooden dowel, ensure the bayonet is in proper position, and
is 1/8”-1/4” below bore diameter, and parallel to the bullet’s path. Adjust the tension handle as necessary to
hold the assembly in place. Again, DO NOT use hand tools of any kind for tightening the tension handle.
4. You must remove the square spacer tube (or wooden dowel if used) prior to loading/firing the firearm. Failure to
do so can result in serious injury to you and or others, and damage to your equipment.
5. Plug your reader in, and you are ready to record data.
NOTE: Ensuring that bullets do not impact the bayonet, is your responsibility. We are not responsible for any damage or
injury that may occur due to misuse of the Ultimate V3 Mount.
Trouble shooting:
If for some reason the assembly loses tension, it will move down (away from bullet path). This may result in false or no
reading on your chronograph.
Check the tension and alignment of your assembly often to ensure best performance.
Thank you for your business.
