Overview

The UltraSecure PROTECT 800 (P800-MT/2) is a wireless call button designed for security and alert systems, featuring both portable and wall-mountable options. This device is intended to be paired with a compatible receiver (sold separately) to trigger alerts or signals when the call button is pressed.

Function Description:

The primary function of the P800-MT/2 is to act as a remote trigger for a security or alert system. When the call button is pressed, it transmits a signal to a paired receiver. This can be used in various applications such as personal emergency alerts, panic buttons, or remote doorbells. The device includes an LED indicator located under the call button, which provides visual feedback during operation, such as when a signal is transmitted or when the battery is low.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Power Source: The device is powered by a CR-123A battery.
  • Battery Installation: The battery is installed by removing screws to open the battery cover, inserting the CR-123A battery, and then replacing the cover.
  • Battery Low Indication: When the battery is low, the LED will blink 5 times after operation, and the device will send battery low information to the receiver along with the trigger signal. This information will also be displayed on the receiver.
  • Code Generation: A new code can be generated by pressing and holding the call button, inserting the battery while holding the button for 5 seconds. The LED will flash 5 times when a new code is successfully generated. This feature is useful for resolving code conflicts with other transmitters.
  • Wireless Communication: The device operates wirelessly and requires pairing with a receiver before use.
  • FCC Compliance: The device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules, ensuring it meets standards for radio frequency emissions and interference. Modifications to the product are not authorized and will void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
  • Environmental Compliance: The product bears the WEEE symbol, indicating that it should not be disposed of with unsorted municipal waste but rather through designated collection facilities for electrical and electronic equipment. It also carries the RoHS and CE marks, signifying compliance with European directives on hazardous substances and product safety.

Usage Features:

  • Portability: The P800-MT/2 can be used as a portable device, with an included belt clip for easy attachment to clothing or a lanyard (split-ring for lanyard attachment also provided).
  • Wall Mounting (Indoor): For indoor use, the device can be mounted on a wall using the provided wall mount bracket. Installation involves marking holes with a pencil, drilling holes with an electric drill (7mm diameter, 25mm depth), mounting the bracket with a screwdriver, and then covering the screws with rubber pads. The transmitter attaches to the bracket.
  • Wall Mounting (Outdoor): For outdoor installations, to prevent theft, the transmitter can be secured to the bracket with a screw, and then the assembly is mounted to the wall using screws and rubber pads to cover them. The outdoor mounting process also involves marking and drilling holes (50mm depth).
  • Pairing: The transmitter needs to be paired with a receiver before it can be used. The pairing steps are detailed in the receiver's user manual.
  • Code Conflict Resolution: If the transmitter's coding conflicts with another transmitter, the code can be regenerated. After regenerating the code, the transmitter must be re-paired with the receiver.
  • Accessories: The device comes with various accessories to facilitate its use and installation, including a belt clip, split-ring, lanyard, mount kit, mounting bracket, spacers, and double-sided adhesive. These accessories also include components for mounting the PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) into a waterproof box, suggesting potential for enhanced outdoor durability when properly enclosed.

Maintenance Features:

  • Battery Replacement: The CR-123A battery can be easily replaced by opening the battery cover.
  • Troubleshooting (Code Conflict): The ability to regenerate the code provides a simple solution for resolving interference or conflicts with other wireless devices.
  • Environmental Responsibility: The manual emphasizes proper disposal of the device at the end of its life, in accordance with European environmental directives, to prevent negative consequences to the environment and human health. Users are advised to contact local authorities or waste disposal services for detailed information on disposal.
