Why is the communication distance short on my UltraSecure ULTRACOM 3 Intercom System?

  The communication distance of your UltraSecure Intercom System might be short due to several reasons: metallic elements or walls between the outdoor station and the handset, low batteries, or incorrect aerial mode. Try changing the location of the handset or using an optional remote aerial. Also, replace the door station batteries and recharge the handset. Ensure the aerial mode is set to INTERNAL unless you are using a remote aerial.

  If the remote opening function of your UltraSecure Intercom System does not work, the remote opening function may be deactivated. Also, the relay may not trip, or there may be bad connections at the terminal block. Enable the remote opening function. Set an open time other than 0. Check your wiring as well as the instructions for your gate/latch.
