Why does the Ulvac GP-1000G pressure display not show a constant value?

  Several factors can cause the pressure display to fluctuate. The pressure itself might be changing, or the sensor head could be the wrong type. Contamination or wear of the sensor head filament can also lead to inconsistent readings. Check for leaks in the sensor head or the installation area. Poor contact in the sensor head cable or corrosion in the wire rod can also be culprits. If there is a leak in the sensor head, replace it; otherwise, stop the leak. If the sensor head is not of the specified type, replace it or readjust and recalibrate the one currently in use. If the sensor head is contaminated or the filament has worn out, replace the sensor head. For the sensor head cable, inspect it.

  If the display blinks at E.E × 10[E], it could mean several things. First, the sensor head filament may have burnt out; check it for continuity (the filament resistance value should be about 13 ohms under atmospheric pressure). Replace the sensor head if the filament is burnt. Avoid energizing the filament with a current of 10 mA or more to prolong its life. Also, the sensor head filament might be disconnected or have poor contact, so check the sensor head cable. Finally, ensure that the sensor head, measuring unit, and sensor head cable are securely connected to the controller.

Alternatively, the sensor head might be contaminated, or the filament could be worn out, requiring sensor head replacement. High air temperature at the sensor head or controller location can also cause this issue; relocate the installation to a clean, well-ventilated area away from drafts.
