  If the Uni-ram Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner's wash pump makes a pumping sound but liquid doesn't flow from the jets, there might be a few reasons. First, check if the drain valve is closed and open it by placing it in a vertical position. Second, the liquid level might be too low; ensure it's at least half full, up to 4 gallons (11 L). Finally, there could be debris in the pump or suction and output hose. In this case, follow Procedure 1, "Blocked Fluid Passage in Diaphragm pump".

  If the Uni-ram Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner's wash pump makes a hissing sound but liquid does not flow, several issues could be the cause. First, water or contaminants may be in the air line of the pump, requiring you to follow Procedure 2, "Blocked Air Passage in Diaphragm Pump". Second, the flow control might be closed; loosen the locking nut on the control panel and rotate the control to the left to increase flow. Third, the liquid level could be too low; ensure it's at least half full, up to 4 gallons (11 L). Lastly, the brush could be clogged with debris; unthread the brush from the hose and operate the foot pedal. If free solvent flow is observed, replace the brush with PN 144-390S.
