Why won't my Unigas PBY93 Burner start?
    • R
      Robert MendezAug 13, 2025
The Unigas Burner might not start due to several reasons. It could be caused by an open main switch, a line fuse intervention, a max pressure switch fault, a fan thermal cutout intervention, or auxiliary relais fuses intervention. Other potential causes include a control box fault, a servocontrol fault, a smokey flame, an ignition transformer fault, a dirty or wrongly positioned ignition electrode, a dirty nozzle, a defective fuel solenoid valve, a dirty or defective photoresistor, a defective HI-LO flame thermostat, a wrong position of servocontrol cams, fuel pressure being too low, or dirty fuel filters.

What to do if Unigas Burner does not ignite and goes to shut down?
    • Y
      ysmithSep 1, 2025
If the Unigas Burner fails to ignite and shuts down, several issues could be the cause. It could be a faulty control box, circuit enabling thermostat, or ignition transformer, in which case you should replace the faulty component. The ignition electrode might be wrongly positioned, so reposition it. Other possible causes include a dirty nozzle, faulty oil valve, faulty or dirty photoresistor, or a faulty high-low flame thermostat, which would require cleaning or replacement of the respective part. The actuator cam might not be calibrated, so calibrate the actuator cam. Low oil pressure, a dirty oil filter, or a dirty ignition electrode could also be responsible; check and correct the oil pressure, and clean or replace the filter or electrode as needed.

Why does my Unigas Burner start up with cold oil?
    • K
      katelynpriceSep 5, 2025
If the Unigas Burner starts up with cold oil, it could be due to a faulty oil resistor, in which case you should replace it. Alternatively, the oil enabling thermostat might have tripped; try resetting it.
