Special care should be exercised in wearing
hearing aids when maximum sound pressure
levels exceed 132 decibels. There may be
a risk of impairing your remaining hearing.
Speak with your hearing care professional to
ensure the maximum output of your hearing
aids is suitable for your particular hearing
loss.
Avoid strong physical impacts to the ear
when wearing a hearing aid with customized
earpiece. The stability of customized
earpieces is designed for normal use. A
strong physical impact to the ear (e.g. during
sports) may cause the customized earpiece
to break. This may lead to perforation of the
ear canal or eardrum.
Aer mechanical stress or shock to the
customized earpiece, please ensure that it is
intact before placing it in the ear.
The majority of hearing aid users have a
hearing loss for which a deterioration in
hearing is not to be expected with regular use
of a hearing aid in everyday situations. Only
a small group of hearing aid wearers with
hearing loss, may be at risk of deterioration
in hearing aer a long period of use.
Note to hearing care professional
Domes should never be tted on clients with
perforated eardrums, exposed middle ear
cavities, or surgically altered ear canals. In
the case of such a condition, we recommend
to use a customized earmold.
