Overview

This document describes the V-SHOW LED Blinder 2, also referred to as the LED Two-Eye Audience Light (RL200). It is a professional indoor lighting equipment designed for theaters, stage workshops, large-scale theatrical performances, studios, auditoriums, temples, and churches.

Function Description

The LED Blinder 2 is a versatile lighting fixture that can be controlled by a single unit or linked to others. It supports the international standard DMX512 protocol, allowing for control of up to 512 channels. The device offers various operation modes including DMX512, master-slave, automatic, voice control, and self-propelled RDM.

For DMX control, the device can be set with a start address code (1-512) to receive DMX signals. The DMX address can be adjusted using the MENU, ENTER, DOWN, and UP buttons on the device's display. When multiple units are connected and no DMX console is present, the master-slave function allows one device to control others synchronously, provided the DMX512 signal is cut off.

The device features two channels for dimming (2-channel mode) and six channels for more advanced control (6-channel mode). In 2-channel mode:

  • Channel 1 (W dimmer) controls linear dimming from dark to bright for the white light.
  • Channel 2 (Y dimmer) controls linear dimming from dark to bright for the yellow light.

In 6-channel mode:

  • Channel 1 (dimmer) controls total dimming, linear from dark to bright.
  • Channel 2 (strobe) controls total strobe effects, from slow to fast.
  • Channel 3 (function) offers various effects: 0-5 empty, 6-100 jump, 101-150 gradient, 151-200 pulse change, and 201-255 voice control.
  • Channel 4 (function speed) controls the speed of functions, from slow to fast.
  • Channel 5 (W dimmer) controls linear dimming from dark to bright for the white light.
  • Channel 6 (Y dimmer) controls linear dimming from dark to bright for the yellow light.

The device also includes a disconnect signal hold function, multiple dimming curves, and refresh frequency settings. It supports RDM remote control and automatic identification of master and slave functions.

Usage Features

  • Robust Construction: The lamp features a die-cast aluminum shell, making it small in size, light in weight, resistant to falls, and less prone to deformation and breakage.
  • High-Quality Components: The electronic components of the power supply and main board are domestic well-known electronic components, ensuring core quality and reducing the failure rate.
  • Temperature Control: Intelligent temperature control ensures that when the temperature is lower than 45 degrees, the device operates in a completely silent state.
  • Safety Grounding: The device must be grounded using the yellow-green ground wire for user safety.
  • DMX Connection: DMX512 signal lines should be connected in series, not parallel. A 120 Ω, 1/4W resistor should be soldered between pin2 and pin3 of a 3-pin XLR plug and inserted into the DMX output port of the last lamp in the chain to reduce signal transmission errors.
  • Power Connection: The device adapts to local conventional voltage. Power cords should be handled by holding the plug, not by pulling the cord directly.
  • Installation: The product should be installed away from aisles, seating areas, or areas within reach of people. The installation point must be able to bear 10 times the product's weight. Double protection devices, such as safety ropes, are required. It is forbidden to stand under the installation point during hanging, removal, or repair.
  • Environmental Considerations: Avoid exposing the product to excessive heat, humidity, or dust. The distance between the lamp and the illuminated object must exceed 0.5 meters, and no flammable or explosive materials should be within 0.5 meters.
  • Lens Maintenance: Ensure the lens is in good condition. If damaged or scratched, it should be replaced immediately.

Maintenance Features

  • Professional Operation: Non-technical personnel are forbidden to operate this equipment, as improper operation can lead to damage. It is recommended that technicians familiar with the product operate it.
  • Regular Checks: Periodically check the power cord and other connecting devices. Do not tie power cords and signal lines together to prevent confusion.
  • Damage Inspection: If the lens is defective (e.g., deep cracks or scratches), it should be replaced immediately, and its power reduced. If the luminous body is damaged or distorted after high heat, it should be replaced immediately.
  • Internal Maintenance: Any inspection, maintenance, repairs, or other operations inside the lamp should be performed by professionals. Always unplug the power cord before opening the lamp housing.
  • Packaging Retention: Keep the packing materials properly for potential future transportation.
  • No Unauthorized Modification: Do not modify the product without guidance from the manufacturer or distributor. Unauthorized modifications may lead to short circuits, burning, electric shock, malfunction, and damage, which are not covered by the warranty.
  • Post-Transportation: If the product has undergone a large temperature difference during transportation, do not start it immediately. Wait until it reaches normal room temperature to prevent damage from thermal expansion and contraction.
  • Cleanliness: Disconnect the power supply before cleaning the lamp.
