This document describes the V-SHOW R740L, a professional lighting fixture designed for stage and event applications. It is an LED shaking head dyeing light, notable for its fast operation, quiet performance, and flicker-free output, making it suitable for high-definition camera environments.
Function Description:
The R740L serves as a versatile stage lighting fixture, capable of producing a uniform color mixing system and rainbow effects. It is designed to create fast and powerful beams, adding dynamism to any stage setup. The fixture offers multiple channel modes, allowing for point-by-point control of its light beads, which provides lighting engineers with flexibility in switching colors, angles, and lighting effects. Its linear focusing system enables a variable beam angle, and it features multiple speed stroboscopic effects along with a smooth 0-100% 16-bit dimming function. The device is also equipped with a color correction system to ensure consistent color output and can automatically calculate the address code for the next fixture in a chain. It supports infinite honeycomb rotation with adjustable forward and backward speeds, and uses encoding positioning for its XY axis.

- Motor System: Three-phase silent motor for fast, stable, and noiseless operation.
- Design Features: Dust and oil resistant design, no flickering under high-definition camera.
Usage Features:
- Installation: The fixture should be fixed on a clamp, ensuring it is firmly secured to prevent vibration and slipping. The installation area must be capable of holding 10 times the weight of the equipment without deformation. A safety cable, capable of holding at least 12 times the fixture's weight, must always be installed. Installation should be carried out by a qualified operator in a location out of reach of unauthorized persons. The fixture must be kept at least 0.5m (1.5 feet) away from flammable materials. Overhead installation requires experience in calculating working load limits and understanding installation materials.
- DMX Control: Connects via 3-pin XLR cables. Multiple units can be serially linked. For long DMX cable runs or noisy environments, a DMX terminator (120 Ω resistor between pins 2 and 3 of an XLR plug) is recommended to prevent signal corruption.
- Address Setting: DMX addresses from 1 to 512 can be set via the menu. The MENU button allows access to DMX Settings, where the UP/DOWN buttons adjust the address.
- Menu Navigation: The device features a user-friendly menu system with a home interface displaying address, signal status, channel mode, temperature, and reset information. A shortcut interface provides quick access to address settings, LED calibration, language change, and screen inversion/rotation options. The settings interface offers comprehensive control over run mode, pan/tilt positions, inversion, speed, dimming, signal retention, encoder correction, backlight time, dimming curves, and factory reset options. It also provides diagnostic information such as error messages, DMX data, sensor info, version, and usage time.
- Safety: Always disconnect mains power before maintenance or fuse/lamp replacement. Use only the same type of fuse/lamp. Stop using the unit immediately in case of serious operating problems. Never operate if the housing, lenses, or ultraviolet filter are visibly damaged. Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source. Do not touch the bulb with bare fingers after use. Do not operate in dirty or dusty environments. Ensure proper ventilation and do not block ventilation slots. Do not connect to a dimmer pack.
Maintenance Features:
- Regular Cleaning: Periodic cleaning of internal and external optical lenses and mirrors is crucial to optimize light output. The frequency depends on the operating environment (damp, smoky, or dirty conditions require more frequent cleaning).
- Cleaning Procedure: Use a soft cloth and normal glass cleaning fluid. Dry all parts carefully. External optics should be cleaned at least every 20 days, and internal optics every 30-60 days.
- Troubleshooting: The manual provides guidance for common issues such as the unit not working (check power, fuse, mains voltage, LED power), DMX controller not responding (check DMX LED, connectors, cables, address settings, DMX polarity, signal interference, try another controller), and individual channels not working well (stepper motor damage or cable connection issues).
- Repair: Do not attempt repairs yourself if unskilled. Contact an authorized technical assistance center for repairs.
- Transportation: Use the original packaging when transporting the device.
