7 Information on installa-
tion and operation
The assembly, electrical connection,
room thermostat settings and commis-
sioning may only be carried out by an
approved company specialising in heat-
ing engineering.
7.1 CE label
The CE label shows that the VRT 230
room thermostat, when connected to
Vaillant boilers, meets the basic require-
ments of the Council of Europe‘s direc-
tive 89/336/EEC on electromagnetic
compatibility and the low voltage direc-
tive 73/23/EEC.
7.2 Intended use
The VRT 230 room thermostat is a state-
of-the-art room thermostat which has
been constructed in accordance with rec-
ognised safety regulations. Nevertheless,
there is a risk of death or serious injury
to the user or others, and the room ther-
mostat or other property may be dam-
aged in the event of improper use or use
for which it is not intended.
The VRT 230 room thermostat is
designed to control a heating system
according to time and location.
