The battery can be in three modes; Active (charging, discharging, or communicating), Park
(sitting idle), or Shelf (manually put to sleep with RT Diagnostic Kit).
Please note the various discharge rates depending on which mode the battery resides.

If the batteries are not to be used within 1 month, we recommend that it be put into shelf mode or
be put on a float charger. If however, the battery has self discharged below 10V, refer to section
8 for instructions on how to recover from the deep discharged condition.
