B. Safety precautions

25 Damage --- T h e d r iv er i s r e sp on s i b l e f o r s ee in g t o t h e
repair of any damage or wear which might endanger the
safety of the tractor.
WARNING: If damage occurs to the cab, all
parts affected should be replaced with new
ones. No repair work (welding, drilling,
cutting, or grinding) should be attempted.

26 Triangle for slow vehicle (SMV - - - Slow Moving
Vehicle) --- W h e n d r i vi ng o n p u b l ic r o a d s a l w a y s u s e t he
SMV emblem on the rear end of the tractor. Also use the
rotating light where required by law.

27 Mobile phones --- M o b i l e p h o n e s m a y c a u s e f a i l u r e f o r
the electric linkage function. A mobile phone can not be
kept inside the cab, especially above the right side panel.
When using a mobile phone in the tractor it is
recommended that it is connected to the outside antenna.
28 Hydraulic/fuel pressure --- O il / f u e l u n d e r h ig h
pressure easily penetrates through clothing and skin and
can cause serious injury. Never attempt to locate a leak in
the hydraulic system or attempt to close a leak using any
part of your body.
29 Implements maintenance --- I m p l e m e n ts c o n n e c t e d t o
the linkage or the auxiliary hydraulic system must be
lowered to the ground during maintenance.
30 Motor noise --- W h e n y o u a re o p e r a t i n g t h e e n g i n e o r
working near it, use hearing protectors to avoid noise
injuries.
31 Naked flames and smoking --- N ak e d f l a m es ,
smoking and sparks are prohibited near the fuel system
and batteries. (Specially, when charging batteries,
explosive gases present).
32 Cleaning --- Keep the tractor clean (cleaning
instructions see on page 94). Avoid the risk of fire by
throughly cleaning before use!
33 By a fire --- A t t em pe ra t u r e s i n e x c e ss o f 3 0 0˚ C, e.g. if
the engine is on fire, the viton seals of the engine (e.g the
undermost 0---ring of the oil pressure regulating value)
produce very highly corrosive hydrofluoric acid. Do not
touch with your bare hands, viton seals which have been
subjected to abnormally high temperatures. Always use
neoprene rubber or heavy duty gloves and safety glasses
when decontaminating. Wash seals and the contaminated
area with 10 % calcium hydroxide or other alkali solution.
Put all the removed material in sealed plastic bags and
deliver them to the point stated by the Authorities
concerned.
WARNING: Never destroy viton --- seals by
burning!
34 Engine stop and restart --- I f t h e e n g i n e h a s s t a l l e d
eg. due too heavy loading, turn the ignition switch to the
STOP position. Restart the engine according to the start-
ing instructions. Keep an eye on the indicator lights on the
instrument panel.
35 Quick couplings for lower links --- Clean, if necessary
the quick couplings and ball joints for the lower links befo-
re attaching the implement. DANGER OF THE IMPLE-
MENT RELEASING!
