13.1.2 Cleaning interval
Daily
Remove and clean the filling plates.
Clean the vacuum chambers. No dirt or liquids may get into the suction nozzles!
Clean the sealing bars and sealing pads. Do not use any sharp objects to remove sealing residue!
Clean the lid seal.
Clean the outer surfaces of the machine and the control panel with a damp sponge or with a cloth
which has been wet with water.
13.2 Checks
Faults can often be uncovered during routine checks before they lead to downtime during production.
Perform the following checks:
Daily
Check that seal of the lid is properly in position and is fully intact. The procedure for changing the
seal is described in detail under “Replacing the seal on the lid” in the section on “Maintenance work”.
Check the Teflon strips on the sealing bars for possible faults. The procedure for replacing the Teflon
strips is described under “Maintenance of sealing bars” in the section on “Maintenance work”.
Weekly
Check the oil levels on the inspection glasses on the vacuum pumps. In order to do this, remove the
corresponding panels of the machine. Check that there is enough oil and that the colour of the oil
has not changed. If necessary, top up or change the oil.
The procedure for topping up or changing oil is described in the section on the ”Maintenance of the
vacuum pumps“.
Check the condensate container on the maintenance unit and empty it if necessary. (Fig. 13.1)
