ENGLISH: Important information
Read instructions carefully before installation and operation. Please keep
instructions for future reference and hand them over to any new user.
Safety
• The product can be used by persons (aged 8 years and above) with
sufficient experience and knowledge if they have been given instruction
concerning its safe use and understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and
user maintenance must not be made by unsupervised children.
• Children must not play with the product or the remote control.
• Do not operate the product if repair or adjustment is required.
• Disconnect the battery supply before carrying out any maintenance or
service work and ensure that it cannot be reconnected unintentionally
during this time.
Product
• The product is battery-powered and can be operated as long as the battery
is charged. In case of discharging, the battery will recharge over the course
of a few days (dependent on the amount of sunshine).
• The function of the product can be limited if the solar cell panel has been
placed in the shade, or the daylight is blocked in other ways.
• Recharging of the batteries is reduced (or impeded) if the product is fitted
together with an exterior sunscreening product. This will effect the amount
of daylight reaching the solar cell panel and thus the recharging of the bat
-
tery.
• Used batteries must not be disposed of together with household waste
but have to be disposed of in conformity with the relevant national environ-
mental regulations. Batteries contain substances that can be harmful if not
handled and recycled correctly.

• Electrical products must be disposed of in conformity with national regula

tions for electronic waste and not with household waste.
• The packaging can be disposed of with usual household waste.
• To remove the product, use the installation instructions in reverse order.
Maintenance
• If installed and used correctly, the product requires a minimal amount of
maintenance only. It may be cleaned with a soft, damp cloth.
• When replacing the solar cell battery use only genuine VELUX rechargeable
battery for the product DSL/RSL.
