They are always on and monitoring your home. However,
your VeraEdge system will only report a breach if the sensor is
in the “Armed” status. Normally, these sensors are “Armed” in
Night, Away and Vacation modes as default settings. (You may
change these defaults in the Settings section of the Vera
dashboard app.)
