3. With the hinges unlocked, open the Versaladder to an angle of 35º to make the stepladder. The tabs automatically
lock when this position is reached.
Other uses of the stepladder
STEPLADDER WITH SECTIONS OF DIFFERENT LENGTHS
1. Follow the "STEPLADDER POSITION" instructions above.
2. Shorten one leg of the Versaladder so that the foot rests as desired on a higher level or stair. To do so, pull
out the two height adjustment locks on the leg you want to shorten and turn. The leg is thus released and can
easily be shortened.
3. When the desired length is reached, fit both height adjustment locks into the corresponding holes in the side
rail.
Follow the same steps when you want one leg of the stepladder in a vertical position and the other in a diagonal
position. This is an ideal solution when you need to access a vertical wall.
STRAIGHT EXTENSION LADDER POSITION
1. Adjust to the desired height following the "ADJUSTING LADDER HEIGHT" instructions.
2. To extend the ladder, pull up the levers on each hinge until the lock tabs are in the unlocked position.
N.B.: If the ladder is completely folded in the storage position, the lock tabs will already be in the unlocked
position, so you can go straight to Step 3.
3. With the hinges unlocked, extend the ladder to an angle of 180º to make a straight extension ladder. The
hinges will lock automatically when this position is reached.
N.B.: When you open the ladder, the hinges will first lock automatically in the 35º position. You will need to
unlock the hinges before you can open the ladder to 180º, where they will automatically lock again.
