b) Straight Extension ladder
To adjust the angle to the desired position, proceed as follows:
N.B.: If the ladder is completely folded in the storage position, the lock tabs will already be in the unlocked
position, so you can go straight to Step 2.
1. To unlock the hinges, pull the lever on each hinge up until the lock tab is in the unlocked position.
2. With the hinges unlocked, open the Versaladder to an angle of 35º to make the stepladder, or 180º for the
straight extension ladder.
3. The hinges automatically lock when either of the two positions is reached (stepladder or straight extension
ladder). The ladder will only lock into position at 35º or 180º.
4. To close the ladder or change from one position to another, repeat Steps 1 and 2.
Important: Always make sure the hinges are properly locked before you get on the Versaladder, i.e. the lock tabs
must always be in the locked position.
POSITIONS
The VersaLadder can be used in a wide variety of positions without any need for additional materials. The
following instructions indicate how to achieve the different positions:
STEPLADDER POSITION
To make a stepladder, proceed as follows:
1. Adjust to the desired height following the "ADJUSTING LADDER HEIGHT" instructions.
2. To open out the ladder, pull up the levers on each hinge until the lock tabs are in the unlocked position.
N.B.: If the ladder is completely folded in the storage position, the lock tabs will already be in the unlocked
position, so you can go straight to Step 3.
