This document serves as the Installation and Operating Instructions for all Hydrocarbon ACRS Air Curtain Refrigerator Models manufactured by Victory. It provides comprehensive guidance for the safe and efficient use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of these commercial refrigeration units.

Function Description:

The Victory ACRS Air Curtain Refrigerator is a commercial food service equipment designed to maintain product temperatures between 36°F and 38°F. It utilizes an air curtain system to ensure consistent cooling, even when the door is open for loading or unloading. The unit is intended for indoor use in controlled environments such as bars and restaurants. It features a dedicated power supply connection and is designed for ease of maneuverability and access to products.

Important Technical Specifications:

Temperature Range: Maintains product temperature between 36°F and 38°F (factory set at 36°F).
Electrical: All models are 115 volts, 60 Hz AC, and equipped with a NEMA 5-20P plug.
Refrigerant: Uses R-290 refrigerant. Specific charge (g) and charge (oz) are provided in a table for various models (e.g., 150g / 5.29oz).
Full Load Amps: Varies by model, e.g., 8.3 Amps for certain 1-section full-door models.
Cabinet Dimensions (w x d x h): Specific dimensions are listed for various models, including those with solid or glass doors, and pass-thru options. Examples include 29 x 37 5/8 x 78 7/8 inches for ACRS-1D-S1-HC and 30 1/2 x 35 1/4 x 78 7/8 inches for ACRS-1D-S1-PT-G-HC.
Weight: Approximately 320 pounds.
Clearance Requirements: 14 inches above the unit, 0.0 inches at the push bar, 0.0 inches at the left side, 0.0 inches at the right side, and 7.25 inches at the bottom.
Operating Voltage Range: Minimum 103.5V, Maximum 126.5V.
Room Air Temperature Range: Minimum 60°F, Maximum 100°F.
Controller: Features an electronic controller with a digital display for temperature and status indicators.
Pan Slides: Designed to bottom support 18" x 26" pans, easily removable, and installed on 3-3/4" centers for maximum air circulation.

Usage Features:

Easy Maneuverability: Equipped with recessed side hand grips, a push bar handle (except on pass-thru models), rubber bumpers, and heavy-duty non-marking casters. The low center of gravity enhances stability during transport.
Dedicated Power Supply: Requires connection to its own dedicated electrical circuit; extension cords are not permitted.
Initial Start-Up: Plug in the power cord; the unit will begin to blow warm air out of the lower back and cool air from the inside blower.
Temperature Adjustment: The factory set temperature is 36°F, but it can be adjusted via the electronic controller. Adjusting the set temperature lower does not increase the cooling speed.
Automatic Defrost: The refrigerator automatically defrosts as needed. A manual defrost can be initiated by pressing and releasing the "melting" or defrost button.
Internal Fan Operation: The internal fan operates when the compressor is on and when the unit is not in defrost.
Compressor and Condenser Fan Operation: These components activate when the controller detects an internal cabinet temperature increase beyond the set point.
Sliding Door Pass-Thru Model: Certain models feature a door that can be secured to the side of the cabinet when opened, facilitating loading/unloading.
Product Loading Guidelines:
- Product should be loaded at 35°F, or pre-loaded and allowed to temper in the ACRS for approximately 2 hours.
- All pans should be placed on slides for optimal performance.
- Allow the cabinet to pull down to temperature for at least an hour after loading before serving.
- Unload oldest trays first (First In, First Out) to maintain product temperatures.
- The unit can operate for 90 minutes with the door open. After this period, the door should be closed for 3 hours to allow product to cool before another 90-minute open-door cycle.
Control Panel Display: Features icons for compressor status, defrost, fans, economy mode, alarm, °F/°C readout, and auxiliary output. A lamp test is performed on startup.
Electronic Controller Parameter Changes: The keypad has a 3-second lock feature. The set button must be pressed for 3 seconds to activate the keys.
Real-Time Clock Setting: Allows users to set the hour, minute, and day via the controller menu.
Alarm Codes: The controller displays active alarm codes, which can be viewed through the machine status menu.

Maintenance Features:

Warranty Registration: Users are required to complete and submit a warranty registration card within TEN days of installation to avoid limiting or voiding the warranty.
Condenser Cleaning: Critical for efficient operation. Involves unplugging the unit, removing the access grille, and brushing/vacuuming dust and lint from the coil. If greasy, professional cleaning with coil cleaner is recommended. Air filters are not recommended as they restrict airflow.
Daily Exterior Cleaning: Wash with a clean sponge and mild, chlorine-free detergent, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth. Polish with a soft cloth, wiping with the grain, and use stainless steel cleaner weekly.
Weekly Interior Cleaning: Remove all food and shelves, disconnect power, clean loose food particles, scrub interior surfaces and door gaskets with a warm detergent solution and soft brush, rinse, air dry, return shelves, and restore power.
Gasket Inspection: Daily inspection to ensure hinges are tight.
Routine Maintenance: Annually.
Condenser Coil Cleaning Schedule: Quarterly.
Gasket Replacement: Every two years.
Stainless Steel Cleaning Methods: Detailed instructions are provided for various types of stains and discolorations, including recommended cleaning agents and application methods (e.g., Areal 20 for smears, Liquid NuSteel for stubborn spots, vinegar for hard water spots).
R290 Service: Refrigeration service should only be performed by trained trade professionals certified to work on R290 systems. Specific guidelines include:
- No wire nuts for electrical parts.
- Only exact replacements for sealed switches.
- Process tubes for service access.
- Cut out (with tubing cutter) refrigeration components; do NOT un-braze.
- Vent R290 in a flame/spark-free area near an open window or door.
- Attach a sign noting propane system service.
- Use a combustible gas leak detector.
- Critical evacuation and charging procedures (weighing in refrigerant).
- Symptoms of overcharge and undercharge are described.

The manual emphasizes safety precautions, including moving the unit carefully, locking casters, seeking help due to the unit's weight, preventing children's access, following all instructions, and watching for pinch points near door hinges. It also warns against using sharp objects to clean the evaporator or condenser and storing flammable materials near the cabinet. Only Victory-recommended technicians and factory service parts should be used for R290 equipment.
