5 Operaon Guide
5.1 Choice of the gas cylinder, regulator and hose
1. Choice of Gas Cylinder
For a gas BBQ over 10 KW, you can use for example a 10 or 10.
5 kg gas cylinder.
The maximum diameter is: in Germany, 5 kg is 230 mm, 10
kg 300 mm;
The Maximum height (regulator included) is: in Germany, 5
kg is 460 mm, 10 kg is 575 mm;
Please consult your local gas cylinder supplier to know the
right maximum size.
2. Choice of Gas Type
You can choose:
Propane (suitable for condions down to -44° Celsius)
Butane (suitable for condions above Celsius, but
cheaper than propane)
LPG (a mixture of Propane and Butane, the percentage
depends on local condions)
3. Choice of Regulator
Once you have chosen your gas type, match the type of gas
regulator you purchase, please check the technical informaon
chapter in this manual: Gas pressure. The gas hose you need is
country specic and should be bought locally. Please consult
your local Gas dealer for advice.

5.2 Connecng the gas cylinder to the appliance
This appliance is only suitable for use with low-pressure butane
or propane gas or LPG mixtures, ed with the appropriate
low-pressure regulator via a exible hose. The hose should be
secured to the regulator and the appliance with hose clips. This
barbecue is set to operate at a 28 Mbar regulator with butane
gas and a 37 Mbar regulator with propane gas, 30 Mbar for LPG
mixtures or 50 Mbar for LPG mixtures. Use a suitable regulator
cered to BSEN 16129. Please consult your LPG dealer for
informaon regarding a suitable regulator for the gas cylinder.
1. Regulator and Hose
These items are not supplied with the barbecue, but
replacements are available from the retailer or an
authorised LPG gas stockist. Use only regulators and hoses
approved for LP Gas at the pressures menoned above. The
life expectancy of a regulator is esmated to be 10 years.
We recommended you to change the regulator within 10
years of the manufactured date.
The use of the wrong regulator or hose is dangerous.
Always check that you have the correct items before
operang the barbecue.
The hose used must conform to the relevant standards for
the country of use. The length of the hose must be max. 1.5
metres. Worn or damaged hose must be replaced. Ensure
that the hose is not obstructed, kinked or in contact with
any part of the barbecue other than at its connecon.
2. Storage of Appliance
Storage of an appliance indoors is only permissible if the
cylinder is disconnected and removed from the appliance.
When the appliance is not in use for a long period, it should
be stored in its original packaging and a dry, dust free
environment.
Please clean the grill of remaining food and oil stains etc.
aer each use. Dry all components to avoid rust.
When not in use, cover the grill with a protecve cover to
protect from rain and other substances that could cause
rust or other damage. Always store indoors.
3. Gas Cylinder
The gas cylinder should not be dropped or handled roughly.
If the appliance is not in use, the cylinder must be
disconnected. Replace the protecve cap on the cylinder
aer disconnecng.
