If the inside surface of the barbecue lid has the appearance
of peeling paint, baked on grease build-up has turned to
carbon and is aking o, clean thoroughly with strong, hot
soapy water soluon. Rinse with water and allow to dry
completely. NEVER USE OVEN CLEANER.
2. Interior Of Barbecue Boom
Remove residue using brush, scraper and/or cleaning pad. Then
wash with a soapy water soluon. Rinse with water and allow
to dry.
3. Cooking Grid
Use a mild soapy water soluon. Non-abrasive scouring powder
can be used on stubborn stains then rinse with water.
4. Cleaning the burner assembly
Turn the gas OFF at the control knob and disconnect the
cylinder.
Remove cooling grate.
Clean the burner with a so brush or blow clean with
compressed air and wipe with a cloth.
Clean any clogged parts with a pipe cleaner or s wire
such as an opened paper clip.
Inspect burner for any damage, cracks or holes. In case of
damage, replace with a new burner. Re-install the burner,
check to ensure that the gas valve orices are correctly
posioned and secured inside the burner inlet (venturi).

Burners will not light
using the ignion
system.
LP gas cylinder is empty. Replace with a full cylinder.
Faulty regulator. Have regulator checked or replace.
Obstrucons in the burner. Clean burner.
Obstrucons in gas jets or gas hose. Clean jets and gas hose.
Electrode wire is loose or disconnected from electrode or
ignion unit.
Reconnect wire.
Electrode or wire is damaged. Change electrode and wire.
Faulty push-buon igniter. Change igniter.
Burner will not light with
a match.
LP gas cylinder is empty. Replace with a full cylinder.
Faulty regulator. Have regulator checked or replace.
Obstrucons in the burner. Clean burner.
Obstrucons in gas jets or gas hose. Clean jets and gas hose.
Low ame or ashback
(re in burner tube, a
hissing or roaring noise
may be heard).
LP gas cylinder too small. Use larger cylinder.
Obstrucons in the burner. Clean burner.
Obstrucons in gas jets or gas hose. Clean jets and gas hose.
Windy condions. Use BBQ in a more sheltered
posion.
Diculty turning gas
valve knob.
Gas valve jammed. Replace gas valve.
6.3 Servicing
Your gas barbecue should be serviced annually by a competent, authorised person.
