and out of the reach of children. The cylinder must never be
stored where temperatures can reach over 50℃. Do not
store the cylinder near ammable objects, pilot lights or
other sources of ignion. DO NOT SMOKE NEAR THE
CYLINDER(S).
• This barbecue is designed for outdoor use. Keep away from
any ammable materials. Ensure that there are no
overhead obstrucons and there is a minimum distance of
1m from all sides of the appliance. It is important that the
venlaon openings of the appliance are not obstructed.
The barbecue must be used on a level, stable surface. The
appliance should be protected from direct ow of air and
should be posioned or protected against direct contact by
any trickling water (e.g., rain).
• Take precauons when changing the gas cylinder. Keep it
away from any source of ignion.
• Parts sealed by the manufacturer or its agent must not be
altered by the user. No modicaons should be made to
any part of this barbecue and repairs and maintenance
should only be carried out by a registered service engineer.
4. Connecon to Appliance
• Before connecon, ensure that there is no debris caught in
the head of the gas cylinder, regulator, burner and burner
parts. Spiders and insects can nest within and clog the
burner/venturi tube at the orice. A clogged burner can
lead to re beneath the appliance.
• Clean burner holes with a heavy-duty pipe cleaner.
• Fit the hose to the appliance using a spanner to ghten it
onto the connecon thread. If the hose is replaced it must
be secured to the appliance and regulator connecons with
hose clips. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder when
the barbecue is not in use . Follow the direcons supplied
with the regulator.
• The barbecue must be used in a well-venlated area. Do
not obstruct the ow of combuson air to the burner when
the barbecue is in use.

Before use check for leaks
6 Do not check for leaks with a naked ame. always use a
soapy water soluon.
• Make 2-3 ounces/75-90 ml of leak detecng soluon by
mixing one part washing liquid with 3 parts water.
• Ensure the control valve is OFF.
• Connect the regulator to the cylinder and ON/OFF valve to
the burner, ensure the connecons are secure then turn ON
the gas.
• Brush the soapy soluon on the hose and all joints. If
bubbles appear you have a leak, which must be reced
before use.
• Retest aer xing the fault.
• Turn OFF the gas at the cylinder aer tesng.
• If leakage is detected, do not aempt to repair it. Consult
your gas dealer.
5.3 Lighng your barbecue (main burner)
1. Open the lid and make sure that all burners are in OFF
posion.
2. Connect the regulator to the gas bole. Turn the gas supply
“ON” at the regulator. Check with soapy water for any gas
leakage between the bole and the regulator.
3. Push down the second control knob and turn it
counterclockwise. This will light the second burner. Always
turn on the second burner rst.
4. Turn other burners on by turning the control knob to HI
posion.
5. If the burner does not light within 5 seconds, turn the knob
to OFF posion and repeat Step 3.
6. If the burner fails to ignite, turn the control knob o
(clockwise). Also, turn the cylinder valve o. Wait 5 minutes
and repeat Step 3.
7. Adjust the heat by turning the knob to the High/Low
posion.
8. To turn the barbecue “OFF” turn the cylinder valve or
regulator switch to the “OFF” posion. Then turn the
control knob on the appliance clockwise to the “OFF”
posion.
9. Size of Cooking Vessels: The side burner can be used with
saucepans which have a diameter between 16 cm and 22
cm with at booms. The burner must not be used with
pans with convex bases (Woks) or rim based pans.
10. Protecve Glove Instrucon: Before using the appliance,
always wear protecve gloves to avoid any burns.
6 Warning: If any burner fails to ignite, turn the control
knob o (clockwise). Also, turn the cylinder valve o. Wait
ve minutes before aempng to relight. Before cooking for
the rst me, operate the barbecue for about 15 minutes
with the lid closed and the gas turned on HIGH. This will
‘heat clean’ the internal parts and dissipate odour from the
painted nish.
6 Maintenance and cleaning
6.1 Cleaning and Care
6 CAUTION: All cleaning and maintenance should be
carried out when the barbecue is cooled down and the fuel
supply is turned OFF at the gas cylinder.
CLEANING: “Burning o” the barbecue aer every use for
approx. 15 minutes will keep excessive food residue to a
minimum. Frequency of cleaning: Clean the grill aer every
use.
1. Outside surface
• Use a mild detergent or baking soda and hot water soluon.
Non-abrasive scouring powder can be used on stubborn
stains, then rinse with water.
