Initial start-up, inspection and maintenance
Further details regarding the individual steps (cont.)
Function test without gas supply
H Check the function sequence (see
function diagram on page 25).
H Switch ON the mains electrical
isolator (outside the boiler room).
H Start the burner. To do this, switch
ON the ON/OFF switch at the
control unit.
H With the leak test equipment still
connected, build the pressure to
approx. 20Ămbar (gas shut-off valve
closed).
The following program must now
run (see also the function diagram
on page 25):
If a heat demand is present
(Ă"demand" lamp at the plug-in
terminal block lights up), the air
damper actuator goes from the
"closed" position to stage 2 and
reverts back to air damper position
stage 1 (ST0Ă-
ĂST2Ă-ĂST1).
The burner control unit sequence is
started with the following functions:
- Burner motor starts, and
combustion chamber is purged
(approx. 30 s).
- Electric ignition is switched ON
(pre-ignition time approx. 2 s).
- Gas solenoid valve for stage 1
opens.
- Valve pressure drops.
- Gas governor switches burner OFF
(not a fault shutdown).
After a safety time of 2Ăs, the
burner control unit enters a fault
shutdown state, if the gas governor
does not switch the burner OFF.
Remove the leak test equipment
and close test nipple A.
