Insurance
Viessmann photovoltaic modules are tested to
DIN EN 61215 and DIN EN 61730 for impact resist-
ance, including, amongst others, against hailstones.
Nevertheless, we would recommend including the pho-
tovoltaic modules in the building insurance as protec-
tion against extreme weather conditions. Damage due
to these conditions is excluded from our warranty.
Operation
Should your photovoltaic system fail to operate cor-
rectly, please notify your local contractor. Never carry
out any work on the system yourself.
In connection with any work on the roof by roofing con-
tractors, flue gas inspectors or aerial installers, please
inform such contractors of the following:
■
Never step on photovoltaic modules or place any
objects onto them.
■
Never touch or mechanically stress photovoltaic
modules, mounting frames, connecting cables and
plug-in connections.
■
Never undo plug-in connections.
■
Never cut through connecting cables.
Care, inspection and maintenance
Please note the service instructions supplied in
connection with cleaning and maintenance work.
■
Contamination on the front glass panes of the photo-
voltaic modules reduces the light ingress and conse-
quently the output. In the case of severe contamina-
tion we recommend having the photovoltaic modules
cleaned by a qualified specialist.
■
Have the photovoltaic system maintained regularly in
order to safeguard trouble-free, energy efficient and
environmentally responsible operation. For this, it is
recommended that you take out an inspection and
maintenance contract with your local contractor.
