      If the ice cubes from your Viking Range Ice Maker are too big (greater than 3/4” thick): * Condenser fan airflow may be restricted. Make certain the grill in the front of the unit is free and open for proper air circulation. Check and clean the condenser coil by removing the grill in the front of the unit, using a vacuum and brush attachment.

      If the ice level in your Viking Range Ice Maker is too high: * The ice machine might not be level. Use a level to check the unit from side to side and front to rear. * The room temperature might be too warm. Move the unit to an area where temperature is below 90oF. * The ice deflector might not be in place or secured properly. Check to see that the ice deflector is in place and secured below the grid cutter. * The bin level sensing tube may need adjusting. Adjust the bin level sensing tube by pressing directly down on the tube 5 inches from the front of the tube to achieve the desired bin level.

      If the ice from your Viking Range Ice Maker is not clear: * Check for low water level in the reservoir. Make sure that the reservoir drain plug is installed properly. Check the water line to the unit to make sure there are no restrictions or kinks in the line. Check all filters to make sure they are not restricted or plugged. * Ensure that the water line is not connected to a water softener. * The room temperature might be too cold. Move to an area where the room temperature is above 55oF.

      If your Viking Range Ice Maker has low ice production, even after running for over 48 hours, consider the following: * Check for a low water level in the reservoir. Ensure the drain plug is properly installed, the water line isn't restricted, and all filters are clear. * Ensure that the condenser fan airflow is not restricted. Make certain the grill in the front of the unit is free and open for proper air circulation. Check and clean the condenser coil by removing the grill in the front of the unit, using a vacuum and brush attachment.

      If your Viking Range Ice Maker continues to run and produce ice, check the following: * The unit will automatically shut down when ice reaches the sensing tube. * The unit will automatically shut down when ice reaches the sensing tube and has completed the harvest of the ice slab. * The room temperature might be too warm. Move to an area where the room temperature is below 90oF. * The ice machine might not be level. Use a level to check the unit from side to side and front to rear.
