      If your Viking Irrigation System pump isn't pumping, ensure the supply container is full. Also, check and correct the valve position according to the instructions. Verify and correct the pump rotation. If there's insufficient head pressure, raise the supply container. Check the voltage if the pump isn't up to speed. Inspect and clean the Y-Strainer if the suction line is clogged, and check for air in the pump suction line.

      If the pump in your Viking Irrigation System isn't operating in Automatic mode when the liquid level in the tank drops, first verify that there is power at the unit terminal block. Ensure the liquid level in the tank is at the proper height by filling the tank. Check if the magnetic starter overload has tripped; if so, identify and fix the cause of the overload, then press the reset button on the starter. Also, check if the time delay is active and wait 10 minutes for it to time out. If none of these steps work, the pump motor may be defective and require replacement.

      If the pump in your Viking Irrigation System is consuming excessive power, it may be due to the pump not being fully broken in. Pumps usually draw higher current during the break-in period, and this should resolve itself after several weeks. If the issue persists beyond this period, manually turn the pump to check for mechanical damage. If you feel tight spots after the break-in period, contact Technical Services.
