8.2.3 Mechanical Seal Disassembly, Rotary Face (Photographic Sequence No. 3)
• When disassembling the seal (fig.3 - 11), the spring should be removed first.
• Then the rotating element is disengaged, being very careful not to damage its faces.
• This task can be performed with the support of mechanical elements.
8.2.4 Disassembly of the Union Body (Photographic Sequence No. 4)
• Remove the fastening bolts (fig.3 - 25.13) between the coupling body and the motor.
• Subsequently, remove the coupling body (fig.3 - 3), being careful not to damage the stationary element
of the mechanical seal located between the coupling body and the monoblock shaft.
• The shaft clamp (fig.3 - 23) and the water stop rubber (fig.3 - 38) are removed after the coupling body
has been disassembled.
