Operation
Always turn off the USB device that you want to connect before connecting it to the USB port.
Ensure that the product is connected properly. If it is not connected properly, it may become hot
or cause an electrical shock or re.
Ensure that your device is suitable for the connection ratings of the product (see technical data).
1. Turn off the USB device and connect it to the product. Use a suitable USB cable to connect the device
to the power adapter.
2. Insert the product into a mains socket.
3. The USB device will now charge. If you wish to use the USB device, you may now turn it on. Check the
charging/operating status of your USB device.
4. Turn off your USB device before removing the product from the mains socket.
5. Unplug the product from the mains socket after use.
Maintenance and cleaning
• You do not need to carry out maintenance work on the product. Under no circumstances should you
service any of the components in the interior of the product, therefore never disassemble it.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Remove the product from the mains socket and the connected USB device before cleaning.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage
the casing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• Use a dry, soft and clean cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
This symbol must appear on any electrical and electronic equipment placed on the EU market.
This symbol indicates that this device should not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste
at the end of its service life.
Owners of WEEE (Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment) shall dispose of it separate-
ly from unsorted municipal waste. Spent batteries and accumulators, which are not enclosed by
the WEEE, as well as lamps that can be removed from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner,
must be removed by end users from the WEEE in a non-destructive manner before it is handed
over to a collection point.
Distributors of electrical and electronic equipment are legally obliged to provide free take-back of waste.

device must not exceed 1 A. The product is protected against overload and short circuits.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be

a) Persons / Product
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, ammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can dam-
age the product.
• Also observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which are connected
to the product.
• Remove the product from the mains socket and the connected USB device when you are
not using it.
• The product generates heat during use. Ensure that there is sufcient ventilation and do not
cover the product during use.
• Do not use any force when connecting USB plugs. A USB plug can only be inserted into the
USB port in one orientation.
• The mains socket that the device is plugged into must be easily accessible.
• Never connect or disconnect power adapters if your hands are wet.
• Never leave the product and the connected device unattended during use.
• For safety reasons, disconnect the product from the mains socket during storms.
• Only connect the power adapter to a normal mains socket connected to the public supply.
Before plugging in the power adapter, check whether the voltage stated on the power adapter
complies with the voltage of your electricity supplier.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. The plug-in power supply unit
