Troubleshooting
A number of symptoms and possible reasons for engine problems are described in the table below. In case of faults
or mishaps which you cannot solve, always contact the Volvo Penta dealership.

1. No fuel in tank or gasoline shut-off valve closed.
2. Water in fuel supply or gasoline is old.
3. Fuel system problem.
4. Emergency stop switch.
5. Battery.
6. Cable connections loose or corroded.
7. Ignition system problem.
8. Remote control is not in NEUTRAL position.
9. Fuel filters.
10. Electrical system problem.
11. Defective or malfunctioning propeller.
12. Boat overloaded or improperly trimmed.
13. Excessive water in bilge.
14. Boat hull condition.
15. Incorrect fuel octane.
16. Remote control box or shift cable.
