What to do if my Vornado Heater fails to power on?
    • C
      Charles ArnoldJul 26, 2025
If your Vornado Heater doesn't power on, it might be due to a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse. Try resetting the circuit breaker or replacing the fuse. Also, the Automatic Safety Shut-Off may have been initiated if the unit overheated; see RESETTING YOUR VORNADO HEATER. If neither of these solutions work, stop using the heater, unplug it, and contact Consumer Service for help.

If your Vornado Heater isn't producing enough heat, ensure it is set to High Heat and the thermostat is at the highest temperature setting. Also, close all doors and windows to keep heat in. Allow the unit time to fully circulate the heat throughout the room, as it may take several minutes.

      Cody CampbellAug 15, 2025
If your Vornado Heater turns on but doesn't produce heat, power it off and unplug it. Check the black disk on the bottom of the unit and push it in 4-5 times to ensure it's not stuck. Place the unit on a flat surface, make sure the power cord isn't underneath it, then plug it back in, power it on, and turn it to the highest heat setting.
