Important
To change a setting, you must always start from the OFF position (0) and then select the desired setting. For example, if you
change directly from setting 3 to 1 without having turned the dial to the OFF position (0), the device will still be in the setting
3.
Important tip
The ash increases the deterrent eect, especially in the darkness. If you plan to use the ash for longer intervals, we
recommend charging the device regularly via the USB charging cable.
Caution
Make sure to turn o the ash on the unit if a person with epilepsy is in the operating area. Remember to switch o the unit
when you are in the operating area for a prolonged period of time.

Handling batteries
1. If you are using new rechargeable batteries or if the unit has not been used for a long time (over a month), it is normal
that the batteries will need to be charged. Three to ve charges are necessary to condition the batteries, then they can be
used normally. If the batteries that have been used for a long time need to be recharged frequently, replace them with new
ones.
2. If the batteries have not been used for a long time, replace them with three AA 1.2V rechargeable batteries (Ni-Cd or
Ni-MH) in the battery compartment. Only batteries in good condition guarantee the best possible function of the animal
repellent. This also prevents damage caused by leaking.
3. Please dispose of used batteries responsibly. Disposal in household waste is strictly forbidden! Please hand in used
batteries free of charge at a municipal collection point or in local shops.
4. Recharge the batteries only when they are completely empty to avoid a possible memory eect.
