The VOSS.sonic 360 is an advanced ultrasonic repeller designed to deter various animals, including martens, dogs, and cats, from a full 360-degree area. This versatile device can be used both indoors and outdoors, offering comprehensive protection for your property, garden, or even your car. Its robust design ensures splash-proof operation, making it suitable for a variety of environmental conditions.
The VOSS.sonic 360 operates by emitting ultrasonic sounds that are highly unpleasant for animals but are generally inaudible to the human ear. This creates an uncomfortable zone for pests, encouraging them to leave the protected area. The device incorporates three circularly arranged infrared motion sensors that detect approaching animals within a 360-degree range. Once an animal is detected, the device activates, emitting ultrasound signals from its three loudspeakers in circular movements.
A key feature of the VOSS.sonic 360 is its all-round protection, which is particularly effective for safeguarding vehicles from martens. By placing the device under your car, it can create a deterrent zone that prevents martens from causing damage. The device is also effective against dogs and cats, making it a valuable tool for protecting gardens and other outdoor spaces.
The VOSS.sonic 360 offers multiple operating levels, allowing you to customize its deterrent effect based on the target animals and specific needs. These levels are easily adjustable using a supplied magnet, which acts as a switch. The device includes an LED control light that indicates its operational status and flashes at regular intervals when in standby mode.
The ultrasonic signals are designed to move in straight lines and do not penetrate building materials. Therefore, it is important to consider the placement of the device to ensure optimal coverage. If there are obstacles in front of the unit, the ultrasound signal may be blocked, potentially requiring the setup of multiple devices to achieve a complete deterrent zone. The device is designed to switch to a power-saving/standby mode when no further movements are detected by the infrared sensor, conserving energy.
The VOSS.sonic 360 is designed for straightforward installation and operation. It can be simply placed on the floor, with its feet providing protection from moisture when used outdoors. While the device is rain and weatherproof, it should not be submerged in water, such as puddles, to prevent water from entering the unit from the underside.
For car protection, the device can be placed under the vehicle, provided there is a minimum height clearance of 12cm from the ground to the car. If operating with a mains adapter, care should be taken not to drive over the cables. The device can also be mounted from the ceiling in roofed rooms, using the pre-drilled holes in its three stands. This ceiling-mounted option is suitable only if there is no risk of water dripping onto the unit.
The VOSS.sonic 360 can protect an area of up to 700 m², depending on local conditions. It is important to ensure that the device is not used on external land without the owner's consent.
To activate and set the device, you use the supplied magnet. A single touch to the switching point with the magnet turns on the unit and automatically sets it to the first stage. Subsequent touches allow you to cycle through the different deterrent levels:
Once a mode is selected, the unit confirms the setting by repeating the respective flashing signal three times. When the VOSS.sonic 360 is triggered by an animal, the signal lamp lights up for the duration of the deterrent process. In standby mode, the signal light flashes green at regular intervals, indicating it is active at the selected level.
To turn off the unit, place the magnet at the specified switching point for more than 2 seconds until the unit stops flashing. If the supplied magnet is lost, any other magnet can be used, or a replacement can be ordered.
The device supports dual power options: battery operation and mains adapter operation. To insert batteries, you need to remove the battery cover by unscrewing four screws and then inserting the batteries as shown in the diagram. It is crucial to ensure that the seal sits perfectly and the cover remains clean to maintain splash-proof integrity. When using the mains adapter, open the moisture seal of the jack and connect the cable. The device automatically switches to 230-volt operation when the mains adapter is connected, and the batteries are then switched off. The mains adapter cable is 5 meters long and is splash-proof, suitable for outdoor use. If you switch from battery to mains mode, the battery is disconnected. To switch back to battery operation, simply remove the mains plug.
