Valet Mode
You c
an prevent your security system from automatically arming
and triggering by using Valet Mode. This is very useful when
washing the vehicle or having it serviced. In Valet Mode, the
security system will not arm, even with the remote transmitter, but
all convenience functions (door locks, trunk release, etc.) will
continue to work normally.
To ent
er or exit Valet Mode:
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Press and release the Valet switch within 10-seconds.
To ent
er or exit Valet Mode with the remote:
Open any vehicle door, and then quickly press the following buttons
in the sequence indicated.
1. Press LOCK
2. Press UNLOCK.
3. Press LOCK again.
The status LED lights solidly if you are entering Valet Mode and
goes out if you are exiting Valet Mode.

sance Prevention Circuitry

r system has Nuisance Prevention Circuitry (NPC). It prevents
annoying repetitive trigger sequences due to faulty door pin
switches or environmental conditions such as thunder,
jackhammers, or airport noise.
