Measure pistons approx 15 mm from the lower edge of skirt, at
90° to the piston pin axis.
Deviation from nominal dimension: max. 0.06 mm
4.2.4 Checking cylinder bores

♦ Cylinder gauge - VAS 6078-
Test sequence
♦ Take measurements at 3 positions in both lateral direction
-A- and longitudinal direction -B-.
♦ Deviation from nominal dimension: max. 0.08 mm
Note
The cylinder bores must not be measured when the cylinder block
is mounted on assembly stand, as measurements may then be
incorrect.
