Reading and storing the instruction manual
This instruction manual is part of this child restraint system (hereinafter referred
to as “child safety seat”). The instruction manual contains important information on
initial operation and handling.
Read the instruction manual carefully, particularly the safety information, before you
use the child safety seat. Failure to follow this instruction manual may endanger your
child and lead to serious injuries.
Store the instruction manual for further use. You must include this instruction manu-
al if you pass on this child safety seat to third parties. There is a pocket below the
headrest cover for storing this instruction manual.
Important information
Notice
This is a i-Size booster seat Enhanced Child Restraint System. It is approved
according to UN Regulation No. 129, for use primarily in “i- Size seating positions”
as indicated by vehicle manufacturers in the vehicle user’s manual.
If in doubt, consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or
the retailer.
“IMPORTANT - DO NOT USE FORWARD FACING BEFORE THE CHILD’S AGE
EXCEEDS 15 months (Refer to instructions)”.
• Consult your vehicle’s manual for information on properly using an airbag in
conjunction with this child safety seat.
• Review your vehicle’s manual to determine where the child safety seat can be
installed.
• This child safety seat may be installed only on vehicle seats that are approved
for use with child restraint systems as per the vehicle manual. In addition, this
child safety seat may be used on your intended vehicle seat only if it is possible
to securely install it according to this instruction manual.
• This child safety seat may be used only in conjunction with a three-point belt
system (as per UN-ECE Regulation 16).
• This child safety seat is approved for body sizes 100cm – 135cm facing forward.
• Before each use, make sure that your vehicle’s three-point belt system is neither
damaged nor twisted.
• The restraint system always needs to be worn tight and the and the height of
the child safety seat head rest must be adjusted to the child’s body and straps
should not be twisted.
• The restraint system must be worn low down, so that the pelvis is firmly enga-
ged and shall be stressed.
• Do not continue to use this child safety seat after an accident; it must be repla-
ced. Even if the child safety seat looks fully intact on the outside, there may still
be damage done. In case of another accident, this child safety seat can no longer
adequately protect your child.
• Never load the child safety seat with luggage or other objects and ensure that
this child safety seat is not jammed or heavily strained by closing car doors.
• Do not disassemble or make structural changes to this child safety seat without
the approval of the Type Approval Authority.
• Never leave your child unsupervised in its child safety seat.
• Before beginning travel, ensure that luggage and other objects are properly
secured. Unsecured pieces of luggage and loose objects can cause serious inju-
ries.
• Never use this child safety seat without its cover.
• Don’t replace the original cover because the cover constitutes an integral part of
the restraint performance which can lead to danger.
• Keep the child safety seat away from sunlight, otherwise it may be too hot for
the child’s skin.
• Do not use this child safety seat for more than 8 years. This child safety seat is
exposed to strong fluctuations in temperature, which can change the quality of
the materials with age.
• Always fasten the child safety seat, even if not in use by your child.
• During everyday use of the vehicle, the rigid items and plastic parts of an
Enhanced Child Restraint System shall be so located and installed that they are
not liable, to become trapped by a movable seat or in a door of the vehicle.

Unfolding the child safety seat

Fold open the child safety seat.

Press the backrest into the seat cushion. You will hear a “click”. Check if the back-
rest is firmly attached to the seat cushion.

Installation
• Place the child safety seat on the vehicle seat.
• Make sure that the backrest of the vehicle seat is set vertically.

• Ensure that the child safety seat’s backrest touches the vehicle seat’s backrest.
