FAQs
How do I change the code on KP-1 and KP-2?
1) Pull the circuit board free from the keypad. On the board you will see five
wires and a plastic strip with holes that are labeled ABCDE and 0123456789.
2) Escort code used on KP-1 or KP-2 must match code used on Platinum 3,
Platinum 3B, or Sentry controller.
3) Connect wire from hole A to appropriate hole for first numeral of escort code.
4) Repeat with wire from hole B to appropriate hole for second numeral of escort
code. Repeat with wires C, D, & E as necessary.
Can I use repeat digits in my code? No, unique digits only (i.e., 12345). Do not use
the same numeral twice in your escort code. Do NOT use the numeral 9 in
your code.
If you change the escort code on the main door
controller (Platinum 3, Platinum 3B, or Sentry)
you must also change the escort code on the
opposite side keypad (KP-1 or KP-2).
