  If your W&H Steriliser displays 'Open the door' at the end of the cycle but you can't open it, there might be a vacuum in the chamber due to an internal malfunction. In this case, switch the steriliser OFF to release any internal pressure, which should allow the door to open. If the issue continues, contact technical service. Alternatively, the bacteriological filter may be blocked. Remove the bacteriological filter to release the pressure and replace the filter. Remember to replace these filters every 400 cycles.

  If, when starting a cycle, the chamber door of your W&H Steriliser locks and then immediately re-opens, displaying the message 'Open the door', it could be due to a couple of reasons. First, check that the door seal is correctly and evenly inserted around the entire circumference. A seal that is sticking out can cause this issue. Second, ensure that nothing is obstructing the door, either external objects or the load itself. Remove any obstructions and make sure the door isn't pressing against the load or any of the chamber furniture.
