Why is water flowing slowly from my WaterChef Water Filtration Systems shower wand?
    • K
      Kristina SmithJul 30, 2025
A decrease in water pressure from the shower wand typically means the cartridge needs to be changed because it has become clogged. A cartridge usually lasts up to 6 months with two 10-minute showers per day. However, more frequent use or water quality issues may require more frequent cartridge changes.

What to do if my WaterChef SF-7C shower wand does not stay in position?
    • J
      Joshua GibbsAug 6, 2025
If the shower wand on your system isn't staying in place, the shower swivel screw has likely loosened. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to tighten the screw on the side of the swivel until you reach the desired firmness.

How to fix a leak between the shower arm and Housing Collar in WaterChef SF-7C?
    • B
      Brittany BrownAug 14, 2025
If you notice a leak after installing your system, the filter housing might not be correctly attached to the shower arm. Remove the filter housing and check the shower arm threading for plumber's tape or mineral buildup. If there's tape, remove it and clean the shower arm with white vinegar to eliminate any residue. If there is mineral build-up, remove it using white vinegar or a cleaner designed for mineral removal. Then, re-attach the filter housing.

What to do if the Filter Base is difficult to remove from WaterChef SF-7C Water Filtration Systems Filter Housing?
    • K
      Kimberly JohnsonAug 21, 2025
If you're having trouble removing the filter base from the filter housing, excessive water pressure may have caused the threads to bind. Make sure your hands, the filter base, and the filter housing are dry. Grip the filter base with one hand while holding the filter housing with the other, and unscrew the base to detach it. For extra grip, try using rubber gloves or a rubber jar opening mat. Avoid using abrasive materials, as they can damage the housing.
