or after distilling. DO NOT use salt water. Appliance has not been
tested or certied by the California Department of Public Health.
3. ALWAYS operate in a well-ventilated area away from other heat
sources. Provide adequate air space (at least 4 inches from walls or
cabinets) when in use.
4. DO NOT place, store, or stack anything on top of or against sides of
Distiller while in operation.
5. DO NOT place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated
oven.
6. ALWAYS make sure collection/serving carafe is properly placed for
water collection.
7. DO NOT operate without water in the kettle.
8. DO NOTll kettle above the “MAX” lines. Overlling kettle will
jeopardize water quality and may result in damage to Distiller. To
avoid risk of overlling, use a pitcher to ll the kettle.
9. DO NOT use appliance for cooking, heating, humidifying, or any
other purpose except distilling water.
10. NOTE: e cooling fan will not start immediately because of a
delayed fan start-up feature. e fan will start once the kettle has
reached a predetermined temperature, approximately 30 minutes after
starting the cycle. e cooling fan will continue to operate approxi-
mately 1 minute after kettle turns o.
11. e Distiller requires no special care other than general cleaning
and periodic lter replacement. If servicing becomes necessary,
please contact your authorized dealer or an authorized service
facility. DO NOT attempt to repair the Distiller yourself. e use of
accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance manufac-
turer may result in re, electric shock or injury to persons. ere are
NO user serviceable parts inside unit. See warranty for details.
ELECTRIC CORD STATEMENT
1. Plug Distiller into a grounded electrical outlet only. DO NOT modify
3-prong plug in any way.
2. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce risks resulting from
becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords
are available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If an
extension cord must be used, DO NOT allow cord to hang over the
edge of table or counter, or contact hot surfaces.
3. To prevent electric shock, injury or re, a grounded extension cord
must be rated at least as great as the electrical rating shown on bottom
of the Distiller (800 watts and 10 amps). e longer cord should be
