Why is my Watts Water System producing water slowly?
    • R
      Rachel HillJul 29, 2025
If your Watts Water System has low or slow production, ensure a minimum of 40psi incoming water pressure. Watts sells a booster pump if your home water pressure is low. Also, verify that the water supply is turned on and the Adapt-A-Valve™ is fully open. Inspect the tubing for any crimps and straighten or replace it if necessary. Another cause might be clogged pre-filters, which would require replacement. Finally, a fouled membrane can cause this issue, so replace both the membrane and the flow restrictor.

What to do if my Watts Water System keeps running and won't shut off?
    • A
      Austin BakerAug 3, 2025
If your Watts Water System unit won't shut off and water is constantly running, this could be due to several reasons. First, check for low water pressure, ensuring it meets the minimum requirement. Next, inspect the supply tube for any crimps, and straighten or repair as needed. High water pressure exceeding 80psi can also cause this issue, so check the incoming water pressure and consider a pressure relief valve if necessary. Additionally, high pressure in the tank can prevent shutoff; empty the storage tank and set the tank air pressure between 5-7psi. Conversely, low pressure in the tank can also be the cause; use a digital air gauge to ensure the empty tank pressure is 5-7psi.

Why is there only a small amount of water in my Watts Water System storage tank?
    • N
      nbruceAug 9, 2025
If there's only a small amount of water in your Watts Water System storage tank, it could be because the system is still starting up, and it normally takes 4-6 hours to fill the tank. Note that low incoming water pressure and/or temperature can significantly reduce the production rate. Also, check for low water pressure. If there is too much air in the tank, ensure the tank air pressure is 5-7psi when empty of water; add air if below 5psi or bleed if above 7psi, checking only when the tank is empty.

How to fix noise or water coming from the faucet vent hole of my Watts Water System?
    • M
      Matthew ThomasAug 15, 2025
If you're experiencing noise or water from the faucet vent hole, or noise from the drain line in your Watts Water System, check the tubing for any crimps or restrictions and straighten or repair as necessary. Ensure all drain lines are straight, clear any blockages, and cut off any excess tubing. Another cause could be a clogged drain tube, often caused by a dishwasher or garbage disposal. To resolve this, disconnect the 3/8" black line at the drain, clean the 3/8" black line out with a wire, and then reconnect it. Note that simply blowing air through the line may not remove the clog.

Why is the water from my Watts Premier RO-PURE Water System milky?
    • V
      Veronica HebertAug 20, 2025
If the water from your Watts Water System appears milky, it's likely due to air in the system, which is normal during the initial startup of the RO system. This milky appearance should disappear within 1-2 weeks of normal use. If the condition reoccurs after a filter change, drain the tank 1 to 2 times.
