Adjust the throttle control if it's in the “CHOKE” position. Clean the underside of the mower housing to remove any buildup of grass, leaves, or trash. Clean or replace the air filter if it's dirty. Check the oil level and change the oil if it's low or dirty. Clean and regap or change the spark plug if it's faulty. Replace the fuel filter if it's dirty. Empty the fuel tank and refill it with fresh, clean gas if the fuel is stale or dirty.
