For copper and aluminium cables
Not suitable for cutting steel-armoured cables,
aluminium alloys and hard drawn copper conductors
• Release hand lever by turning locking knob , until the dot
points to the ON dot on the cover plate.
• To turn the pivoted blade in any direction to the position
required:
When using the with 45-mm or 55-mm Ø cable cutter, hold
handle fully open and press down the retaining pawl .
It is now possible to turn the pivoted blade as required.
When using the 80 mm Ø cable cutter, set the locking pin
to the OPEN position, hold the handle fully open and turn
the pivoted blade .
To cut cables, re-set the locking pin to the position CUT.
• Insert the cable and turn the pivoted blade until the edge of
the blade rests on the cable.
When using the 80 mm Ø cable cutter, re-set the locking pin
to the position CUT.
• Squeeze the handles to manually operate the pivoted blade
until the inserted cable is cut through.
• It is possible to unlock the pivoted blade during the cutting
process.
To do so, proceed as follows:
When using the with 45-mm or 55-mm Ø cable cutter:
Squeeze handles (both halves) together until the retaining
pawl can easily be disengaged. Keeping the retaining pawl
pressed down, release handle and turn back the
pivoted blade .
When using the 80-mm Ø cable cutter:
Set the locking pin to OPEN and squeeze the handle(s)
(squeezing together both halves) until the retaining pawl
engages automatically. Hold the handle fully open and turn
back the pivoted blade .
The tool is designed for use in applications described in
the operating instructions only. Using this tool for tasks other
than those described may lead to accidents or the destruction of
the tool.
Subject to the frequency of use and type of service, the tool
must be checked regularly to ensure flawless functioning. In the
event that appropriate tests are not possible on site, these can
be conducted by the manufacturer.
The tool must only be repaired by an electro-mechanical
specialist or by the manufacturer, otherwise operator accidents
may result.
