3.4 Safety precautions (to be implemented by device owner)
Please note that the device owner is responsible for the proper instruction of all operating and
maintenance personnel as regards:
• the safety devices of the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH;
• compliance with all safety instructions in this manual.
Compliance must be monitored. A copy of this operating manual must be filed safely for future
reference.
All inspection and maintenance intervals must be strictly observed.
The various sections of this operating manual contain instructions for different groups of
personnel:
• The chapters referring to operation and operating modes are written for instructed
personnel,
• The chapters concerned with transport, installation and assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting
and repair are written for specialist technicians.
The instructions in the chapters referring to transport, installation and assembly,
maintenance, troubleshooting and repair are aimed at qualified electricians, as all
tasks described in these chapters must only be performed by qualified electricians.
Instructed person (operator)
A person who has been instructed by a qualified electrician in the proper operation of the device,
the associated risks in the event of improper action and also informed about the necessary safety
devices and preventive measures.
Electrician
A person (maintenance/repair staff) who has the necessary professional training and experience
to identify and prevent risks and hazards.
