The device owner is also obliged to
provide suitable safety equipment such as hand-held fire extinguishers in the required quantity and of
suitable size and type at easily accessible locations near the device;
protect the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH through a potential equalisation system that conforms to the statutory re-
quirements (in Germany Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health);
provide adequate lighting at the workplaces (conforming to ASR A3.4);
ensure that the ventilation system at the workplaces remains switched on outside working hours to
maintain a minimum air flow at all times (elimination of germs);
• regularly inspect the working area to ensure that tripping hazards are eliminated or suitably marked.
Connections:
Before commissioning the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH, the device operator must ensure that the rated values and local
regulations (e.g. for electrical connection of machinery) are complied with.
Note
Lighting:
The device operator must provide adequate and uniform lighting of the prescribed
illumination rating in the area of the TOPITEC
®
TOUCH.
Recommended: 300 lux (inspection workplaces 500 lux), depending on site conditions
(maintenance level; in Germany: ASR A3.4).
Note
Noise:
The TOPITEC
®
TOUCH does not produce noise at a damaging sound pressure level
(for limits, see German Noise and Vibration Protection Ordinance LärmVibrArbSchV).

Note
At least one safety training session per year (and upon appointment
of an employee), covering all risks and safety measures,
must be provided for all staff members, based on operating
instructions written in a language that is easily understandable to staff.
Completion of the training must be confirmed by signature (TRGS 555).
