This light control provides two safety and energy saving functions in one.
In Dusk to Dawn mode, it turns your outdoor lights on at dusk so they are lit when you arrive home in the evening. Select 2, 5 or 8 H settings for dusk to
dawn mode operation. This is the amount of time in hours the light will remain on from when the light first turned on. When the light turns off, motion
mode will activate, light will turn on for 10 minutes when motion detected if ambient is below 15 lux.
In Motion mode, this light control automatically turns a light on when motion is detected at distances up to 20 feet and the ambient light level is lower
than 15 lux. Select 10 M to set the motion mode. 10 minutes is the amount of time the light will remain on from when motion was detected.
A test mode is also provided which is useful in optimizing the detection zone. When 4S is selected, the light control automatically turns a light on when
motion is detected at distances up to 20 feet no matter what the ambient light level is.
Suitable For Damp Locations – Not for Wet Location Use – Suitable for fixtures from 8 feet to 18 feet high.
Caution: This motion sensor is not designed for use with an enclosed or shaded fixture of any kind. Infrared cannot penetrate glass or plastic. Works
with any compact fluorescent, LED, halogen or incandescent bulb 150 watts max.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Using a screwdriver, adjust the switch on the back of the unit to select the desired off time (4S, 10M, 2H, 5H, 8H). Each
selection represents the number of hours the light will remain on after it is turned on at dusk. If you select the “Motion”
setting on the dial, the unit will only be activated by motion during the hours between dusk and dawn. It will not turn on at
dusk and off at a user programmed time, nor will it sense motion and turn on during daylight hours.
Turn power to light socket off.
Remove the light bulb from socket.
Screw the Dual Function Programmable/Motion Activated Light Control into the empty socket until snug.
Screw the light bulb into the Dual Function Security Light Control.
For best performance, the sensor window should orient below the bulb. (See Fig. 1) If it is not, rotate the Dual Function
Programmable/Motion Activated Light Control counterclockwise until the sensor window is between the 3 o’clock and 9
o’clock positions. This is achieved by unscrewing the Dual Function Programmable/Motion Activated Light Control until the
sensor is in the optimal position. The spring loaded pin at the base of threads will maintain electrical contact with the fixture
up to 270° (3/4 of one full turn) from its fully seated position.
The motion sensor can be tilted up or down (up to 20° in either direction) and rotated left or right (up to 90° in either
direction) to accommodate your unique installation. (See Fig. 1)
Note: Be sure to position the Sensor Window so that it can “see” past the bulb or any
other object that may block the Sensor’s view. (See Fig. 2)
Turn the power back on, if it is dark the light will turn on for 10 minutes or 2/5/8 hours(depending which function you
select).
The unit will now automatically turn the light on for 2/5/8 hours after dusk, or for 10 minutes when motion is sensed if it is
dark(depending which function you select).
If it is still dark after the light has ended its cycle, the unit will turn the light on when motion is detected and off automatical-
ly after 10 minutes.
Note: This unit has a sensor to prevent lights from being turned on during daylight hours. Other lights in the field of view
may interfere with proper operation of the sensor at night. To remedy, reposition sensor window away from other light
sources, and in dual light fixtures, position sensors so that they face away from light shone from adjacent bulb. (See Fig. 3)
