Why won't my Westinghouse WHG642SA burner light but the sparker is working?

If the Westinghouse cooktop burner won't light even though the sparker is working, several issues could be the cause. First, make sure you're holding the knob down long enough in the ‘High’ position, around 5 seconds, so the flame safeguard can engage. Check that the gas supply valve is turned on. Ensure you're turning the correct knob for the burner you want to light. Also, inspect the ignition area for any blockages and make sure the ignition spark plugs are clean and dry.
