Drain Cleaning Machine
Whenanewbeltisinstalled,thetorquemaybetoohigh,andtheThumbWheelneedstobe
adjustedtodecreasethebelttension.
Whenexcessivebeltslippagehappens,thetorquemaybetoolow,andtheThumbWheelneeds
tobeadjustedtoincreasethebelttension.
Performthe
followingstepstoadjusttheThumbWheel.
NEVERletthemachinerunwithhightensioninordertoprotectthecablefrom
beingdamaged.
1. ScrewdowntheThumbWheelfor3completeturnstoreducethetensionconsiderably.
2. Increasethetensionabitatatimewhiletryingtorunthemachinetoseeif
thetensionis
enough.
3. Addabitmorewhenneeded.
MajorMaintenanceandPartReplacement
SettheRotationSwit chtoOFFan dunplugth emachinebeforeanymaintenance.
Wearnecessarysafetyequipmentforprotection .
MachineCleaning
Whenneeded,themachinecanbecleanedwithhot,soapywaterand/ordisinfectants.
Donotallowwatertoentermotororotherelectricalcomponents.Makesureunit
iscompletelydrybeforeuse.
Cable
Toobtainmaximumservicefromyourcables,besurethataftereachuse theyarecleanedwith
water,airdried,andwellcoatedwithproperlubricationoil(suchasSAE
10W‐30).Thisnotonly
providesrunninglubricationbutgreatlyextendsthelifeofthecablesaswell.Youcanperiodically
pouroildirectlyintothedrum.Asthedrumturns,thecablesgetcompletelubrication.Youcan
alsowipethelubricationoilonthecablewithacloth.
If
acableloopsoveritselfinthedrum,itwillnotfeedproperly.Removeandreloadthecableby
handtorestorefunction.Ifthecablekinks,itistheevidenceofabuseandtheresultsfromthe
useoftoomuchpressureortheuseofawrongsizecable
fortheline.
CableFeeder(Optional)
KeepCableFeederfreeofexcessivesoilandgrit.ItisrecommendedthattheCableFeederbe
flushedwithfreshwaterusingahosefollowedbyair‐dryingtheunitandthenalubricationoilof
themovingparts.Nodisassemblyisnormallyrequired.
Ifdirtishardenoughtostoptheroller’s
rotationandflushingitwithwaterdoesnotrestoreitsfunction,thendisassemblingtheCable
Feederisnecessary.
