Operating Instructions

Safety in Operation

Seat Adjustment

Adjust the operator's seat forward or backward for comfort. Ensure it is latched.

Ignition Controls

Controls engine start/stop. Use key and start button. Remove key to prevent unauthorised use.

Choke Adjustment

Used for cold starts with fast throttle. Cancel as soon as possible. Do not use for warm engines.

Engine Speed Control

Lever controls forward (FAST) and backward (SLOW). Operate on FAST setting for mowing.

RPM Meter Function

Monitors engine speed. Ensure it does not fall below 2600rpm during cutting for optimal performance.

Hour Meter Service Tracking

Tracks engine running time for service intervals. Machine requires service after 50 hours or yearly.

Drive Controls

Foot pedals control forward (A) and reverse (B) speed. Depress pedal for acceleration.

Driving Forward and Reverse

Release parking brake, depress pedal A to move forward, pedal B to reverse. Speed increases with pedal depression.

Braking and Stopping

Release drive pedal for natural braking. Release gradually for smooth stop, rapidly for emergency stop.

Parking the Machine

Release pedals, pull parking brake lever upright. 'P' indicated on dashboard. Adds to engine braking effect.

Hydrostatic Dump Valve

Disengages hydrostatic transmission for freewheeling. Pull lever to disengage, push back to re-engage.

Cutter On/Off Switch

Engages/disengages blade clutch. Headlights flash when cutter is running. Safety interlocks prevent operation without operator.

Transport Lever

Raises/lowers cutter deck for transport. Safety interlock prevents cutter running when raised.

Lighting System

Momentary switch turns headlights on/off. Requires ignition. Headlights illuminate permanently when cutter is running.

Cutting Height Dial-a-height

Rotary switch adjusts cutting height (0-9). Adjust continuously for best results. Avoid downward adjustments while moving.

Manual Cutter Deck Lift

Manual lever adjusts cutting height. Do not set to very low settings to avoid scalping.

Mowing Guide

Mulch Mowing Guidelines

Save time, feed lawn. Reduce grass height by max 1/3 per pass. Mow often. Keep deck clean. Check blades are sharp.

High Grass Mulching Deck

Alternative for long grass. Use higher settings (7-9) for very tall grass. Maintain engine speed.

COMBI Deck Operation

Combination deck for mulching and rear discharge. Can be switched to rear discharge by removing parts.

Battery Maintenance

Cutter Deck Cleaning

Cutter Deck Belt Tension

Deck drive belt is self-tensioned. Check belt is correct if tension is problematic.

Transmission Drive Belt

Self-tensioning belt. Adjustment by dealer is recommended. Improper adjustment can cause damage.

Transmission Oil Tank (2WD)

Located under foot plate. Check oil level when cold. Expand when warm. Top up via rubber grommet if needed.

Changing Cutter Decks and Drive Belts

Instructions for changing belts for different deck sizes. Requires deck removal for belt replacement.

Seat Box Removal and Refitting

Procedure to remove seat box for access. Involves unbolting and disconnecting wires. Reassembly notes included.

Troubleshooting

Deck Levelling

Common issue due to thorns. Use tyre sealant. Check rims for damage. Remove sharp objects from cutting area.

Troubleshooting Tyre Spin

Check tyre inflation to correct pressures. Ensure you are not driving too fast for conditions.

Front Wheel Removal and Refitting

Procedure to remove front wheels for repair or maintenance. Includes jacking points and torque settings.

Rear Wheel Removal and Refitting

Cutter Power Loss and Belt Slip

Check belt tension, deck clogging, and belt wear. Do not attempt blade changes yourself.

Engine Fails to Turn Over Troubleshooting

Check parking brake, seat presence, dump valve, battery connections, and fuses.

Engine Turns Over, Does Not Start Troubleshooting

Check fuel level, spark plug connection/condition, fuel filter, and fuses.

Engine Misfires or Stalling Troubleshooting

Check fuel level, air filter, cooling intakes, and fuses.

Cutter Deck Operation Issues

Check cutter fuse, operator presence on seat, battery charge, and transport lever position.

Display Failure Troubleshooting

Check 30 amp fuse, battery charge, and ignition fuse (Fuse 2).

Electric Deck Lift Malfunction

Check 4amp contact breaker reset. Ensure nothing is jammed between deck and chassis.

Park Brake Indicator 'C' Error

Indicates battery is not charging. Check main charge fuse.

Supplementary Instructions

Electronic Slope Alert (ESA) System

Warns of exceeding 25° slope angle with flashing display and siren. Do not operate on slopes steeper than 25°.

4WD Dump Valve System

Additional neutral valve for rear transmission freewheeling. Safety switch linked to park brake.

Transmission Oil Level Check

Located under right control pod. Check level when cold. Oil expands when warm. Contact dealer if level drops.
