How to fix engine fails to start on Westwood Lawn Mower?
    • K
      kristastokesAug 20, 2025
To resolve engine start failure in your Westwood Lawn Mower, ensure you're seated on the tractor, the parking brake is disengaged, and the PTO switch isn't engaged. Set the throttle between 25-50% when starting; if unsuccessful, try 75-100%. If it still fails, apply the choke during ignition. Also, verify all fuses are intact and replace any that are blown. Finally, check that the front exhaust outlet is clear. Remember to turn the ignition off for at least two seconds before attempting to restart.

Why does the cutter fail to start or cut out when switched on my Westwood Lawn Mower?
    • K
      Kim PaulAug 25, 2025
If your Westwood Lawn Mower cutter fails to start or cuts out when switched on, ensure you are seated on the tractor, as the safety switch will disable the cutter deck if you're not. Verify that the correct function is selected on the dashboard. Also, check if the cutter switch or the safety switch on the seat is faulty and ensure the battery is well-charged, as a low battery can prevent the clutch engage switch from operating.
