Why are my clothes not drying properly in my Whirlpool Dryer?

  Several factors can cause clothes to not dry satisfactorily in your Whirlpool Dryer. It could be due to a lint screen clogged with lint (the lint screen should be cleaned before each load), selecting the wrong cycle, overloading the dryer, a clogged exhaust vent restricting air movement (clean the exhaust system of lint or replace the vent with a heavy metal or flexible metal vent, ensuring it's not crushed or kinked), using too many fabric softener sheets, an exhaust vent that is too long or has too many turns, using an incorrect exhaust vent diameter (it should be 102 mm), a room temperature below 7ºC, or inadequate ventilation if the dryer is in a closet. Proper operation requires temperatures above 7ºC, and closet doors must have ventilation openings.

  If your Whirlpool Dryer won't run, make sure the door is completely closed. Also, ensure you press and hold the PUSH to START knob firmly until you hear the dryer drum moving. Check your household fuses or circuit breakers, as electric dryers use two. Replace both fuses or reset the circuit breaker. If the problem continues, consult an electrician. Also, electric dryers require a 220-240 volt power supply, so check with an electrician. Finally, ensure you are using a time-delay fuse.
