  There are several reasons why your clothes may not be drying well. The lint screen might be clogged, so it should be cleaned before each load. You may have selected the Air Dry cycle, which doesn't use heat. Ensure you select the correct cycle for your garments. Also, very large loads should be separated for better tumbling. Check your exhaust vent for clogs, and ensure it's not too long or has too many turns. The diameter should be 4 inches. Make sure the dryer is in a room above 7ºC (45ºF) and, if in a closet, that there's proper ventilation.

  If your Whirlpool dryer isn't running, first ensure the door is completely closed. Then, press and HOLD the START/PAUSE button until you hear the dryer drum moving. Check your household fuses or circuit breakers, as electric dryers use two. Replace any blown fuses or reset tripped breakers. If it continues, call an electrician. Also, electric dryers need a 220–240 volt power supply, and use a time-delay fuse.

Ensure the dryer is level and all four legs are installed properly. Separate any knotted or balled-up clothing to prevent bouncing.
